EXPLORE VANCOUVER

Rich Hutchings is an archeologist born and raised along the Pacific coast who has coined the term, the « maritime heritage crisis » – the impact of over consumption, coastal sprawl, development and climate change on coastal heritage.

Archeologists are concerned because the records of human activity on the coast are actually being eroded into the sea. Cultures are drowning and we need to start to understand what that means when we talk about a landscape drowning.
