“Foot by foot, salt water weighs 64 pounds. Think of it. A cubic foot at 64 pounds multiplied by millions of cubic feet of water has such an intensity that can take down buildings and demolish whole communities and I don’t think people understand that it’s so beyond their control. To this day people think that they can control the ocean, they think that jetties, barriers will prevent the ocean from tearing down entire communities and coastal villages – it’s not going to happen.”CLIMATE LITERACY RECOVERY
