Deborah Harford is an environmentalist and the executive director of Adaptation to Climate Change (ACT) at Simon Fraser University. Her work is at the intersection of academics, policy and communication.

“We formed ACT to try and make information accessible for people to make decisions on how to deal with how climate change impacts everything from water, health, energy, sea level rise, extreme weather, bio diversity and population displacement. You don’t have to be a scientist to be involved in finding solutions. So my job really is to help translate science to language the policymakers can use.”
